Seth Godin's blog post this morning reminds us of the power of positive thinking. He tells us that all the evidence shows that positive thinking and confidence improves performance. In anything.
The problem, however, is that it's far easier for us to think negatively rather than positively. Faced with diabetes' daily challenges, and the heavy weight of long term complications, it's hard to keep a stiff upper lip - let alone smile.
Your ability to take setbacks or hurdles without a "why me attitude" sets a great example for your kids and your whole family. They in turn can be equally positive.
A positive attitude takes work. It takes effort to maintain. The great thing about it though is that it spreads.
